SIC invent Dental Implant - Prosthetic Animation: Single Crown (Closed Tray Technique)

The Exposure
Following osseointegration, the dental implant is exposed and the gum (gingiva) is shaped with the aid of a gingiva former. After 10-14 days, an impression can be taken, which acts as a basis for the dental technician to make your prosthesis.

Prosthetic Restoration

When your prosthesis is ready, it is fitted into your own dentition by securing it to the implant or implants. Depending on the type of fixed restoration, it can be screwed or cemented in place. In the case of removable solutions, your dentist will screw the abutments that will anchor your prosthesis to the implant and then fit the prosthesis.

Webinar: Scientific background for research and development of dental implants | Alpha-Bio Tec.

Webinar: Scientific background for research and development of dental implants conducted by Prof. Ofer Moses.

About the webinar:
Many factors have been found to influence the interfacial bonding between a dental implant and bone and thus the success of implants. Factors such as surgical technique, host bed, implant design, implant surface, material biocompatibility, and loading conditions have all been shown to affect implant osseo-integration. Understanding these factors and applying them appropriately in the development of dental implants can lead to achieving predictable osseo-integration and thus minimizing potential implant failures. Developing a meticulous drilling protocol have a detrimental effect of implant surface and on bone healing.

COURSE SUMMARY

One of the most significant advancements in the implant industry in the past decade is the growing preference of the conical connection. For practitioners who started with external and internal hex implants, the benefits of conical connections might not be immediately obvious. This webinar is intended to help implant placing dentists understand its differences, as well as the clinical benefits of the available connections. While most dentists may still feel comfortable placing an internal hex implant, it is vital to understand and consider the benefits of a conical connection for your patients and practice.

In this ID InSession webinar, industry expert Dr. de Oliveira discusses his experience with various implant designs for ease of use, restorability and long-term success.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. In-depth discussion of implant design features
2. Understanding how connection and platform type relate to implant longevity
3. Differences in the implant delivery for mounted and mount-free implants
4. Making implants more affordable for patients for a higher case acceptance
